WASHINGTON, D.C. — American Fuel & Petrochemical Manufacturers (AFPM) President and CEO Chet Thompson issued the following statement in response to Wednesday’s tariff announcement from the Trump administration.
“We welcome the news that President Trump exempted energy and certain petrochemical products from the latest tariffs. Our industries fuel U.S. consumers, contribute to a positive balance of trade and every sector of our economy and we appreciate that the President recognizes this. We look forward to continuing to work with the President and his administration on polices that promote strong energy and manufacturing industries.”
