WASHINGTON, D.C. – Chet Thompson, President and CEO of the American Fuel and Petrochemical Manufacturers, issued the following statement regarding the EPA’s decision to grant 31 Small Refinery Exemptions for 2018 under the Renewable Fuel Standard:
“We are pleased that EPA recognized the extreme hardship that the RFS program is having on small refineries. These waivers will go a long way to protecting manufacturing jobs in Pennsylvania, the Midwest, and across the country. We continue to encourage all stakeholders to work together to reform the RFS and we hope Congress will take up this cause.”
