Today, American Fuel & Petrochemical Manufacturers (AFPM) Senior Vice President of Government Relations and Policy, Geoff Moody, released the following statement on EPA’s denial of a petition seeking to eliminate the use of HF catalyst at U.S. refineries:
“From the start, this petition was legally deficient and disconnected from the realities of fuel manufacturing and risk mitigation. We appreciate EPA seeing through the noise and unequivocally shutting down this effort to ban HF catalyst in the United States, without which refineries would not be able to produce enough gasoline for American drivers.
“Banning gas cars and banning HF are part of the same playbook aimed at eliminating consumer choice and undercutting America’s liquid fuel dominance.”
