100,000 Jobs Mission: matches military skills with open positions in the corporate sector, identifying skill or education needs and providing discussion forums. Veterans can search the site to learn about job openings throughout the fuel, petrochemical and other industries.
American Jobs for America’s Heroes: an alliance of the National Guard, the Center for America (CFA), Corporate America Supports You (CASY), and the Military Spouse Corporate Career Network (MSCCN). It helps unemployed National Guard members, veterans, and spouses find skilled jobs in the private sector. Phillips 66 serves as the lead sponsor on this initiative.
Build Your Future: focuses on connecting individuals, especially veterans, with careers in the construction industry. They provide a range of veterans-based educational tools for employers as well as “military crosswalk” tools for employers and veterans to translate how military training lines up with careers in construction.
Get Skills to Work: joins major manufacturers and educators to prepare and place veterans in long-term careers. The Manufacturing Institute and Futures Inc. created a digital “badge” system that allows employers to translate Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) codes to civilian positions in advanced manufacturing. The site also helps veterans search for jobs and find training resources.
Helmets to Hardhats: helps military service members transition back to civilian life by offering trainings and a means to secure a quality career in the construction and building industry. Most of the career opportunities offered by the program are connected to federally-approved apprenticeship training programs. Training is provided at no cost to the veteran and requires no prior experience.
Hire Our Heroes Veterans Strong Initiatives: empowers veterans and employers with the knowledge, skills, and innovative tools to optimize a strategic workforce. By partnering with companies committed to making veterans a part of their overall hiring strategy, Hire Our Heroes provides mentoring, training, and coaching to veterans transitioning to civilian careers.
U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation Hiring Our Heroes Program: a nationwide initiative supported by the U.S. Chamber Foundation to help veterans and military spouses find meaningful employment opportunities. Hiring Our Heroes also provides digital resources including resume builders, job portals, and virtual mentorship for veterans and spouses.
U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs/U.S. Department of Defense Veterans Employment Center: provides a range of services including a job bank, skills translator, profile and resume builder, and information on upcoming career fairs.
