The friendly skies have never been more crowded. In 2018, 4.3 billion passengers stowed their tray tables and brought their seat backs into the upright position on their way to and from wherever they wanted — or needed — to go.

Washington, D.C. is a college town bustling with student activists embracing their First Amendment rights. During our college years, we all latch on to various movements or beliefs (myself included)—for one reason or another—that perhaps remain when we leave university life behind us.

Although the things that Alanis Morrisette speaks of in her famous song are not de facto ironic, the title of the song does pop into my head when I see or hear of certain things in the news.
