WASHINGTON, D.C. — American Fuel & Petrochemical Manufacturers (AFPM) President and CEO Chet Thompson issued the following statement on the tariffs being levied today on Canada and Mexico:

“The United States is energy secure, in part because of our trade relationships with Canada and Mexico. Imposing tariffs on energy, refined products and petrochemical imports will not make us more energy secure or lower costs for consumers. So, we continue to hope quick resolution can be found with our North American neighbors.”
