WASHINGTON, D.C. – AFPM released the following statement today in response to the President signing into the law the reauthorization of the Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards program:
“AFPM commends the efforts of Congress and the Administration to secure a long-term reauthorization of the Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards (CFATS) program. AFPM takes seriously the security of our critical infrastructure, which includes some of our nation’s most important assets ranging from manufacturing plants for essential products to pipelines and storage facilities. We look forward to continuing our efforts to enhance the security of our facilities.”
